WARNING!!! THIS POST MAY CONTAIN POTENTIAL 50TH ANNIVERSARY SPOILERS! DO NOT READ ON IF THIS KIND OF THING BOTHERS YOU!
OK, has anyone who's bothered about potential 50th Anniversary spoilers gone?
Good. I hate them jerks. The whole point of this thread is really to badmouth them and call them names, and now we can do so behind their backs in peace. Who's first?
Ohohoho! Not really, the point is that I've been wondering about something I heard first back in January at a convention, posted about once on Galliflower Base, people replied to, and then we immediately edited the posts to remove it all, as I didn't want anyone to get into trouble. But I'm fairly sure there aren't many journalists from the Sun on this forum, and it's getting to the stage where we'll find out in a couple of months anyway, so feel it's ok to ask the question.
Right, so I was there with Paul McGann, just hanging out, and a small child came up to him and asked if he was going to be in the 50th Anniversary episode of Dr Who. His reply, stage-whispered to the child after a quick glance around to check there was nobody listening, was "Yes - but don't tell anyone."
So what do we think? If he's not going to be in it, then he was clearly lying to the child to make himself look important. But if he IS going to be in it, then surely was he just playing games with them? Telling a secret that the dirt sheets would love to get hold of to a small child. Isn't it all a little bit "land right by some poor unsuspecting soul who no one's ever going to believe and then strut up and down in front of them wearing silly antennae on their head and making beep beep noises" kind of thing?
I don't know what to think any more, so it occurred that maybe you lot could do it for me.
