Did anyone ever see F is for Fake I loved that one!
It's a lot of fun that makes a whole big point out of the fact its edited so you cannot understand what is really happening and so of course it had to be the basis for the style of reality television which uses the same techniques but has no idea how so it's just a mess

Orson Welles will always be a 100% cool dude for his perfect cameo at the end of the Muppet Movie. That first movie did all its cameos perfectly and doing Welles like that basically solidified what all future Muppet movies aspired to.
I love Orson Welles. Not as much as he did, that's not possible. He was an entertainer to the core and possessed boundless self confidence which allowed him to take the risks that he was naively sure would work, and they usually did. I think his body of work is a bit spotty. Girl from Shanghai is a stupid story and a sort of boring film until the 3rd act. Magnificent Ambersons is near perfect but I hardly give a shit about any of the characters.
Kane is a great film and a technical marvel but at bit "old Hollywood" at times.
My favorite of his is F for Fake. Its a marvel of editing. He took some boring footage shot by François Reichenbach , added a healthy dose of shots of himself and Oja Kodar and spun the entire story via narration and montage. Its an incredible film.
