Dr Who, now disguised as Caretaker Who, was busy cleaning up a mess in the Coal Hill School canteen when he heard a familiar noise.
"Ooh, yes!"
Memories flooded back of years long past. Tears flooded down Caretaker Who's face as he went to the boy who just said "Ooh, yes!".
"Were you the one who just said, "Ooh, yes!"?"
"Ooh, yes!"
"At last! After all these years I have found you! My dear boy, you don't look a day older!"
Caretaker Who paused.
"You're not the same guy, are you?"
"Ooh, yes!"
"Hmm, he must have been someone else then. Could have been your grandfather. Was it your grandfather?"
"Ooh, yes!"
"It was your grandfather." Caretaker Who spit out a hairball. "Does the story run deep in your family?"
"Ooh, yes!"
That afternoon, Caretaker Who and the boy who said "Ooh, yes!" shared many memories of eras long past. Even Curator Who came in to see if everyone was alright and came up with an anecdote of his own, which then trailed off somewhere in the middle, leading Curator Who to ramble on as he left the room, presumably towards another exciting adventure with the Daleks.
All day, all night, Caretaker Who and the "Ooh, yes!" boy reminisced. The Doctor found out that the "Oor, aar!" man who had once been killed while driving his bicycle (known in the police records as "Pigbin Josh", but they used a naming system similar the one used for hurricanes) had been the boy's great uncle.
Caretaker Who came to know many answers to the universe's great questions through him and his family, finding that they respond extremely well to rhetorical questions.
In the end, there had to be goodbyes. Caretaker Who lay down his mantle. But he felt he could return to this place, for it was made warm and familiar by the "Ooh, yes!" kid. As he walked towards the school exit for the last time, he didn't meet the school's Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Fate being what it is (fate), sooner or later Dr Who was led back to the contemporary Coal Hill School in 2038, where another "Ooh, yes!" boy was already waiting for him.
And his name was B. Clara Susan Chatham, as they all were.
"Ooh, yes!"
