Definitely better than In the Forest of the Night! Enjoyable, but not mind blowing. Standard Who, which is good. There was also what I will assume was a David Bowie reference, seeing as Capaldi's a fan.
Well, that was an episode. In the end it was pretty unremarkable, but it just almost had a unique feel that I liked. It had some real problems with things that are presented as revelations not effecting anything, nothing had any effect. It was weird. I need to watch it again I think.
It was ok. A nice safe 'all is not what it seems' storyline to give some character development to Bill. Nothing special or groundbreaking to see here.
What did bug me was that Ralf Little was the only one of the revived colonists to have any lines while the rest stood around gormlessly taking up space for the rest of the story. Might as well have just cut them out, have Ralf on his own and played up the paranoid 'us or them' thing his character had going. Did they blow all the money on the robot outfits and not have any left for the extras to have lines?
